Lord Balaji is seen as a manifestation of Lord Vishnu and is believed to reside on earth to help humanity during the Kali Yuga. Venkateshwara means "Lord of Venkata" in Sanskrit. The word is a compound of Venkata (the name of a hill in Andhra Pradesh) and ishvara (the Sanskrit word for "Lord").According to the Brahmanda and Bhavishyottara Puranas, the name "Venkata" means "destroyer of sins" because it is derived from the Sanskrit words vem (sins) and kata (power of immunity).

Care Instructions for Brass Handicrafts Dust often – Use a soft, dry cloth to remove surface dust regularly. Wipe with damp cloth– Occasionally, use a slightly damp cloth (not wet) to wipe the piece, then dry immediately with a clean cloth. Mix lemon juice or take a lime and rub on the product and then dry wipe it. We have found this to be an effective home remedy. Avoid abrasives - Never use steel wool or rough pads—they scratch the surface.
