Tulsi Home Store: A Legacy of Excellence in Furniture

Our roots date back to 1971 when our founder Shri. Rtn. Shantilalji set up Variety Hall Agencies in Coonoor, nestled in the picturesque Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu. Over the decades, this iconic store has grown to become a landmark in the district, serving an esteemed clientele that includes some of the country’s most prominent personalities.

In 2003, we inaugurated our present 30,000 sq. ft. store named Tulsi Mall in Coonoor. Six years later, in 2009, we expanded further by launching stores under the name Tulsi Retail in Salem and Tiruppur. These additions, along with a leased premise in Coimbatore in 2014, brought our combined retail space to an impressive 70,000 sq. ft. However, due to high overheads of rent and interest, these stores were eventually closed by 2019.

Determined to continue our journey, we constructed a 27,000 sq. ft. store on our own land in Coimbatore in 2018-19. This flagship store, launched in October 2019, has since been experiencing steady growth, firmly establishing itself as a leading home store in the Coimbatore region. Strategically located on Mettupalayam Road, amidst prestigious car showrooms, it has become a go-to destination for quality furniture and home decor.

With over 50 years of experience in the furniture business, we have physically managed operations across our stores and proudly served more than 50,000 homes in the Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, and Tiruppur districts. This rich heritage and expertise inspire us to build one of India’s finest omnichannel store chains in the ready-to-use furniture segment.
